MENTORING
I offer one-on-one storytelling mentoring within the Northern Rivers of NSW. This is how Sarah Bolus, a recent mentee, described the experience:
“Working with Leanne as a mentor in oral storytelling has been a deeply meaningful and inspiring experience. She offered not only practical insight but also the confidence and encouragement to step into storytelling, something that previously felt out of reach.
Through her guidance, I’ve come to understand that stories are truly the language of children. Leanne shares gentle, effective approaches that feel respectful, connected, and full of wonder. I’ve learned how to use voice and props with intention, create a calm and sacred storytelling space, and invite children in as active participants, supporting them to become storytellers themselves.
Learning how to structure and write my own stories was an added highlight. What once felt a little daunting now feels exciting, and I’m leaving with a wealth of ideas and a renewed sense of creativity. Leanne has a remarkable ability to help others find their own storytelling voice.
Her storytelling is engaging and alive, and she shares her knowledge with humility, warmth, and generosity. Her passion and dedication are evident in every interaction.
I feel genuinely empowered by this journey and deeply grateful for the experience. I would highly recommend Leanne to anyone looking to grow in confidence, creativity, and connection through the art of storytelling.”
